CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

Our customs services focus on the compliance, release, and reporting needs of the marketplace. Entries are rapidly cleared through our ABI computer link with U.S. Customs. As your customs broker, upon receiving notice of the scheduled arrival, we will prepare and check all documents for accuracy and completeness, classify the shipment, obtain the Customs release, the freight release, any special visa or restriction clearances (i.e. Dept. of Agriculture, FCC, FDA, EPA, ATF etc.) and arrange the delivery of the freight to your desired location. ClearPoint Logistics Group Inc. can assist your needs to file the following types of entries:

CONTINUOUS CUSTOMS
BONDS & RENEWAL

The bond is a guarantee that all customs duties, customs penalties, and other charges assessed by U.S. Customs will be properly paid, in the event that the importer fails to make such payments. Continuous bonds are issued to cover all of the importations of an importer for a period of one year. The amount of the bond required to be secured by the importer is usually equal to 10 percent of the total customs duties paid for the previous years, or a reasonable estimate for the current year, but not less than $50,000. ClearPoint Logistics Group Inc. offers a variety of surety bonds from an A- (excellent) rated carrier. All bonds are available at a variety of limits with minimal underwriting information required with the most competitive rates in the industry.

INTERSTATE TRANSPORTATION

Through our own trucking and rail service relationships, we can assist you to meet all of your local and interstate prompt delivery needs at a minimal cost. Delivery orders are coordinated to your designated sites immediately upon receipt of Customs clearance. In instances where merchandise has been entered by vessel, we will surrender the ocean bill of lading to the ocean carrier on your behalf.
